The Village at Tom's Creek is a planned development, built according to the principles that shaped traditional Virginia villages. Its character is revealed in its respect for the beautiful rolling landscape of the Toms Creek Basin.

Our Vision was to create an intimate neighborhood surrounded by and connected to open meadows and woodlands.

Characteristics of The Village that support its traditional nature include:

• Miles of trails and walkways meander through woods, meadows and along formal boulevards.
  
• Central park with playground and small ball fields
• Acres and acres of open meadows and woodlands permanently preserved and maintained as natural areas of indigenous plants, trees and wildflowers.

• Parking relegated to the rear of many of the buildings, often accessed by alleys.
• Self-governing with a homeowners' association whose members debate and decide on matters of maintenance, security and physical change.
• A small central commercial section which permits shops or services that can support the needs of Village households.
